Browse Name Coloring Pages by Letter

Each letter page has a free coloring page for the 12 most popular US baby names that start with that letter. Every page shows the name in bold bubble letters on one US Letter sheet. Q, U, X and Y have few common names, so their pages include some rarer ones. Can't find a name? Type it into the name generator instead.

Letter pages also help with the alphabet. Print every name for a child's first letter, then talk about the sound the letter makes and find it in each name. Each letter page links to the other 25 letters, so you can move through the whole alphabet.

POPULAR

Popular Names

The 20 most common baby names in the US, ready to print. Each name takes you to its print-ready page on its A–Z letter page.

The list counts boys and girls together and starts with the most common name. Open a name, print it from your browser, and hand it out with a box of crayons. The same data picks the names on the A–Z pages, so each popular name also has a place on its letter page.

BY SEASON

Seasonal Coloring Pages

Name pages work all year. For holidays and the change of seasons, we also make themed coloring pages: elves and Christmas trees, autumn leaves and scarecrows, friendly ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns, turkeys and pumpkin pie, penguins and snowflakes.

Every seasonal page stays up all year, so you can print early for a party, a classroom or a long weekend at home. Pair a seasonal page with a name page to make a small coloring pack for each child.

Christmas has the most pages, with separate pages for elves, Santa, reindeer, gingerbread, snowmen, Christmas trees and detailed Christmas coloring pages for adults.

MAKE YOUR OWN

Custom Name Coloring Pages

Every kid wants their own name on the fridge. Type it once and print a page nobody else has.

The name generator turns a name into big hollow letters with a thick outline. Choose from six letter styles (Bubble, Block, Script, Comic, Soft and Retro), then pick US Letter or A4 paper. The page is ready in seconds, and you can print it or save it as a PDF. Change the style or the paper size as often as you like before you print.

Use it for the names our A–Z pages don't have: a nickname, a name with an unusual spelling, a pet, or a whole class of different kids. Make one page per child and print them all before the first day of school.

Every style keeps the letters open inside, even Script, so there is room to color each one. Capital letters in Bubble and Block are easy for early readers to spot.

READY TO PRINT

Here are eight of the most popular names. Each page is one sheet with the name in thick bubble letters and wide spaces to color in, so small hands can stay inside the lines. Tap a page to open it at full size, then print it.

Printing tips

  • Print at actual size (100%). “Fit to page” can shrink the letters and leave wide margins.
  • The pages are black line art, so a black-and-white printer is enough. No color ink needed.
  • Plain printer paper works for crayons and colored pencils. For markers or paint, use thicker paper or card stock so the color doesn't soak through.
  • Print two copies: one to color now and one for a second try.
  • The ready-made pages are sized for US Letter. For A4 paper, make the page in the name generator and pick A4.

Ways to use name pages

  • Welcome sheets for the first day of school, one for each child in the class.
  • Door signs, cubby labels and bedroom name signs, colored by the kids themselves.
  • Party favors and placemats with every guest's name at the birthday table.
  • A quiet activity for practicing the letters in a child's own name.
  • Name tags for a playdate, a scout meeting or a library story time.
